Products and Services within the Fraunhofer Transport Alliance

Currently, sixteen Fraunhofer Institutes are combining their specific know-how within the area of transport-related research. This grouping helps to generate a comprehensive system-related expertise.

One objective of the Transport Alliance is the representation of the business area »transportation and traffic« within the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft. This makes the Transport Alliance the central contact point in all matters concerning transport-related research.

Furthermore, the Alliance influences the strategic focus of public funded R&D and initiates traffic-related R&D topics, cooperates with associations and generates R&D projects.

The Alliance is actively involved in the following areas:
