Inspection methods in this sector are diverse and specialize in the early detection of problems, monitoring condition and assessing the need for repair or replacement.

Many of these methods use AI technologies and can be effectively automated, such as ultrasonic inspection systems for checking rails, acoustic monitoring systems to continuously monitor the noise of trains and rails, and non-destructive testing using CT and thermography to maintain tracks and trains.
