Human-Technology Interaction

In technical systems of the future, it is to be expected that the interaction between humans and machines will change significantly due to the merging of immersive technologies such as augmented and mixed reality, smart feedback functions and the use of artificial intelligence. While today we mainly communicate with machines via buttons, mouse or touch operation, in future humans and intelligent machines will work together synergistically and with complementary skills. This requires mutual understanding and joint action on the part of all those involved. There is also great potential to introduce these technologies in the rail transportation sector to improve work processes and interaction with passengers. There is a need in practically all areas. From production, vehicles, operations and interaction with customers to maintenance, technologies and methods for human-machine interaction can improve everyday working life and counteract the impending shortage of skilled workers.
